The Chicago White Sox have been well represented in the MLB The Show Players League and that will continue on Saturday.

The Chicago White Sox have been very well represented in the MLB The Show Players League that was started as a means to help people get through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lucas Giolito has been representing the Chicago White Sox in this tournament and has done a pretty admirable job.

The 25-year-old went 19-10 in the regular-season standings, which gave him the sixth seed in the playoff bracket.

As detailed by Juan Toribio of MLB.com, Giolito is primed to face off with third seed Bo Bichette at 2:00 p.m. CST. That game will be aired on ESPN2.

The winner of that best-of-three series will go on to face the winner of the game between Joey Gallo (second seed) and Ian Happ (seventh seed) in the semifinals. That game will be aired at 7:00 p.m. CST on FS1.

If Giolito were to advance to the finals, he would play in a best-of-five series on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. CST on ESPN. His opponent would be either Jeff McNeil (fourth seed) or Blake Snell (first seed).

Giolito’s first playoff game is obviously not being started in the way most would have dreamed of, a game at U.S. Cellular Field in front of the South Side faithful.

Nonetheless, this is still a pretty cool event to listen to Giolito mic’d up while playing MLB The Show 20.

Winning these games obviously doesn’t mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, but it has been nice for baseball fans to watch some sort of competition taking place between baseball players during this time.

It also certainly increases the curiosity about how awesome it would be to hear players mic’d up during actual games, with these three Chicago White Sox arguably making the best candidates for that.

Giolito is itching to get back on the field in the near future, but for now, he will be representing the Chicago White Sox in this version of the playoffs.
